All the best,
I'm here today to let you know about some new supplies I have been adding to the store this week...it is really exciting to be increasing the wonderful products I have available...let me know if I am a bit slow getting in what you want to see here.
Firstly I have added nine of the luscious Dylusions acrylic paint tubs...more colours coming soon. Here are just three of the colours now available in the shop...
I now also have a good colour range of Ranger Distress Stains. These are great for mixed medium projects and even for adding a splash of colour to a journal or planner page...
I have added some Distress Paint Replacement sponges to the Tools section...the sponge tops do wear out eventually, especially when used on embossing pastes and textured surfaces, so these replacement tops will help extend the useful life of your stains and paints applicators.
Ranger Mica Sprays come in sets of three...check these lovelies out!
I have added some A4 Buffalo Kraft to the papers section..this richly coloured and slightly toothy 225 gsm. weight card is wonderful for card bases and many other uses where you need a good robust card. It is available in packs of 20 sheets.
Check out the previous blog post to see this card being put to good use!
Ranger Distress Micro Glaze is now available...this is a wonderful water resistant sealant for any of your water based inks, stains, markers and paint on porous surfaces...
Check these out, you can link directly to the shop from here...
Plus I have some new dies and some second hand Stampin' Up stamp sets coming soon. More details on these in the next post!
Hello there, Chris has asked me to do a guest blog spot on his new shop, to showcase a couple of products from his store. I will link the items I used from his shop, so go ahead and click on the links if you want to know more...
I have been having fun creating flowers from some altered painted paper scraps and making them into simple cards recently. I watched a video on YouTube by creationsceecee that got me all inspired!
I made several on card bases I made from cutting sheets of Neenah Solar White cardstock in half and scoring them to make side fold standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch cards...Neenah SW is letter sized, coming as it does from America.
For the first few cards I used the Helmar Craft glue, one of my all-round favourite adhesives, but I soon switched to Ranger Multi Medium Matte, as it was easier to manage neatly on these smaller pieces.
While making the pile of white cards I also wondered what they would look like on kraft card, so I used the 225gsm A5 natural brown kraft card from Paper House. To make the cards I simply score each piece in half and as this card is metric sized, I have lovely weight 15cm x10.5cm cards...
In case you are wondering about the colour of this kraft card, I took this photograph of one of the cards lying beside a piece of Neenah Desert Storm kraft, as a comparison. The Neenal is smoother and lighter, the natural kraft is warmer in colour and a little rougher in texture.
As well as swirling on the gesso to make the circular motifs on the papers I used, I also simply cut circles roughly by hand from scraps of other papers. These had either not been coloured in anyway, such as some lovely creamy textured handmade paper from the Makers Workshop in Burnie, Tasmania, some coloured and sealed pieces and even a small trial heat embossed piece, These scraps would not have responded colourwise to the gesso treatment, so they simply were used to doodle on...
I am making some boxes for these cards and will package them up and will make them available soon as boxed sets in the store, if you are interested in having a look, but do have a try, these are great fun to make.
Well, that's it from me for today...I am sure I will be back from time to time to share with you how I have used some more of the products from Chris's shop...
