I have been busy over the past few days making a diary for my great niece Harriette, who turned sixteen a week ago today. I decided on a diary because I think most sixteen year olds usually like to be introspective regarding their thoughts and dreams. I had fun with this one because I do not know her very well, mainly through my sister and brother in law who dote on her and her older brother. She is an intelligent, sporty, crafty, independent and fiesty young lady who as a young child loved boots and the stomping noise they made. It will be wonderful to see what she makes of her life.
I was also able to utilise many items I already had in my stash boxes, card stock, ribbon, tags, photo mats, Gelli prints, in fact, the only "new" item was a jar of Ranger Multi Matte Medium which I had been waiting anxiously for, to coat the covers.
The recently trimmed down card stock pieces made life easy for matting, no more searching through acres of paper scraps or cutting into whole sheets!
I was able to use my new fine applicator for glueing for the first time...it worked beautifully and I know I am going to be able to use much less glue using this little tool...which will be better for the projects I do, as too much glue can cause warping and other issues, apart from the cost-saving.

See you soon I hope,
Di
