Anyhow, after upgrading the programme and twiddling a bit with the options as one does, all went well...I am quite chuffed!
I really didn't have a plan, except for wanting to test the lighting and so this afternoon I decided to just try one more time.
Karina had kindly let me borrow her you-beaut wireless headphones and microphone and I needed a couple of little gift cards, so stamped a couple of the Penny Black cuties onto some watercolour paper with Archival Jet Black ink and set to. Here is the video...I am pleased at the visibility after the poor lighting in my previous attempts. View here or on You Tube...
The Mice card is four and a quarter by three inches and the hedgie is four by two and a half inches (I was holding my TH ruler at the time...).
It is very early in the season for us to be having such heat and fires but today was a lot cooler and not windy. The weather is reported to worsen again by Tuesday, with proposed total fire bans but temperatures will drop to a more "normal" ten to fifteen degrees later in the week. It looks to be a long, hot Summer.
Today also was son number three, child number four's birthday. He has reached a staggering age of thirty eight! Wowsers! How and when did that happen? How can I possibly have a son that age?
