I am very glad I did, it is so easy and such a lovely effect, magical indeed. I have done a little experimenting both with card stock and paper and with different fonts and designs.
Next time I am asked to make some invitations or want to do a mail-out, (maybe at Christmas), I think I will be foiling the text. It is every bit as professional and clean looking as something printed at a print shop.
Trouble is, now I want to get a few more colours in my stash...oh dear, budgeting is not something I enjoy wholeheartedly.
I also saw today a You Tube video about using melted bees wax as the "glue" to create a mixed media piece. From the presenters' dialogue I assume that wax is not a new component of paper crafting, something else to explore...I think I have some bees wax tucked away, might need dusting off and trying...
Son numero uno is celebrating his birthday in a few days so I made him a foiled card, very simple but quite effective in reality. Found some great fonts, including this Celtic one, at dafont.
I have spent the time while waiting for the blade to magically appear in my mail box by converting the svg. files to fcm., getting them onto my usb and adjusting the sizes etc. I am looking forward to using some of them on cards very very soon...(says very hopefully!).
Better trot, another walk to take while the sun is about,
Thanks for visiting,
