It was a fun little sketch... again I did not let my mind wander from the challenge image hardly at all.
I made a fourteen centimetre (five and a half inch) square card from Bazzill marshmallow card stock and stamped an Annabelle Stamps stripey background stamp (BBD5), three times down the card, substituting Versacolor Peony for Rich Razzleberry, Memento Rhubarb Stalk for Rose Red and Dusty Concord DI for Wisteria Wonder.
Fortunately I had coordinating card stock colours. I stamped the daisy blooms from PTI Beautiful Blooms 2 in Versamark ink onto each of the papers, heat embossed them with clear fine embossing powder to give the card some shine. I then die cut a small, medium and large daisy out of the embossed images.
I die cut each of the three shapes from the card base, matching the positions to the sketch. I then adhered a layer of white xpedx showcase adhesive paper (from PTI), over the entire inside front of the card, neatening up the inside and giving me an adhesive surface to attach the daisies.
I added a tiny "miss you" sentiment to the left lower corner of the card. This sentiment is from one of my most used PTI stamp sets, "Peaceful Garden".
Once I had popped the die cut flowers into their respective spots, (Oh why I cry, can't designers develop symetrical stamps and dies...sorting out the correct orientation of the die cut flowers into their die cut spaces took far longer than all the rest of the card put together!) I simply added glossy accents to the centres of each flower to give a tiny bit of dimension and more shine...I am so thrilled to have a single layer card. I don't know why I find these so difficult to achieve...but I like this one as it was so easy, despite the asymmetry of the stamp and die sets...Life isn't meant to be easy, I mustn't forget that.

Bye now,
Di
