I revamped (most) of our digitalised audio book collection (it is HUGE!), last year, a work still in progress, and I found the music files were in a similar disrupted state when I had a squizz yesterday. Getting them both organised to my liking will probably be my major organisational task for this year...sorry, this story is getting too long, isn't it.
Anyway, what with reorganising the Edward Elgar file, (one of my favourite pieces of music is his cello concerto), and thinking about friend Sue's venture into the musical world, I just had to include the Jacqueline Du Pre/Daniel Barenboim video linked above...listen to it while you read the rest of this blog...such a performance (from both of them, so young and so gifted)..they didn't even need a sticky note to guide them...
Anyhoo...moving right along...I have finally made one of Jennifer of JenofEve Designs 6x9 Envelope Journal samples. It makes a sweet little wallet shaped 6 x 4.5 inch folded album...which would be nice to give photographs and memorabilia to someone, perhaps after a special birthday, weekend away or other special event as a memory record and a place to store ticket stubs, programmes, lists...all of that minutiae that means so much to most of us...for a time anyway....
I don't use this template purchase very often for creating specific journal like this, but it is an extremely useful set of components to add to other projects..pockets, envelopes, inserts etc.. especially as you can print them on any paper, (the envelopes are fabulous in vellum), and all can be resized and recoloured to whatever suits you and the project you are working on...you just need to get creative with your printer or cut out reusable templates for those papers and textures that are not easily printed. Spending an hour on template production, especially mats for the various components, is time very well spent.
See you soon I hope,
